2026 recap · Saturday, August 23, 2026Golden Hour Unboxed
A celebration of Black entrepreneurship on the Eastside, presented by ToyBox Consulting & Management.
A Bellevue celebration of Black entrepreneurship.
On August 23, 2026, Black entrepreneurs, artists, families and allies met at sunset in Bellevue Botanical Garden.
Golden Hour Unboxed was an open, cross-cultural evening. It was open to the public. All ages were welcome. ToyBox held it during National Black Business Month.
Why ToyBox held it
- Bellevue is one of the most diverse cities in Washington. Spaces for cross-cultural exchange are still limited.
- Emerging Black entrepreneurs could meet seasoned professionals in one place.
- Artists, vendors and community builders could be seen and supported.

The program was planned in five parts, for guests of every age:
- Sunset Sounds. Acoustic music, spoken word and movement from cross-cultural artists.
- Storytelling. Personal stories of building, belonging and rising, from voices across the Eastside.
- Micro Speed Pitching. Emerging entrepreneurs and artists share ideas. Three minutes each.
- Pack-the-Box Drive. A back-to-school supply drive for Eastside students.
- Twilight Social. An easy social hour to close the evening.
